Johshun Nagasawa is the eldest son of Ujiharu Nagasawa, the only mask artist to be certified as a Living National Treasure in 1979. Nagasawa began creating Noh masks in 1943 at the age of 17 under his father Ujiharu Nagasawa. He started out as Johshun Fukakusa and later changed his name to Johshun Nagasawa.The techniques inherited by the Nagasawa family from his father, Ujiharu Nagasawa, were each passed down to his students, and the Nagasawa school is highly regarded. Nagasawa's works are characterized by refined and graceful forms while adhering to the ancient techniques of beauty. Comes in a Noh mask bag.
